As part of the Mullewa – thicker than water project we ran a series of workshops to develop local skills in writing and to develop content for the book.
Writer Margaret Cole conducted workshops for Adults in ‘Creative Journal Writing’ and ‘Writing as a life skill’.
A word from Margaret: ” I have a passion for teaching writing as a life skill. Over the past twenty years I have used journal writing as a tool in individual therapy and taught over a hundred workshops. Almost anyone who can make a mark on a piece of paper can learn to use this technique.”
Author Dianne Wolfer ran youth workshops at Mullewa District High School, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Convent School and the Christian Bros. Agricultural School.
A word from Dianne: “I have always been a bookworm and I’m sure that has helped in my writing. My books are about things that interest me; different cultures, the environment, friendship, being brave, turns in the road and taking chances. I read or write every day and can’t imagine a world without books.”
