Texture Palette
The 5s, 6s and 7s explored and photographed textures and patterns around the school and church and came up with a whole lot of stunning images. This is a montage of just a few of them.
Can you see some piano and computer keys? Candle holders from above? A spider’s lair? A stack of homework books?
Everyday things suddenly look completely different. There is beauty in even the strangest places…

Colour montage 5 - 7s
We also played with the macro setting on the cameras and went round the school taking pictures of different colours, from right up close.
Again, the most ordinary things can look amazing when you’re just looking at their colour:
A dusty purple flowerpot… The yellow reflection on the chain in the playground… Even the mats on the desks in the classroom.
This is a selection of their photos.
Macro photography
Macro photography is close-up photography and can be achieved by using the macro setting(the one with the picture of the flower) on a compact digital camera.
